Retailers look to beat credit crunch by improving online profile through Kelkoo.co.uk

 

London, April 2009 – Kelkoo, the UK’s leading shopping comparison service, has announced that over 100 new merchants signed up to list their goods and services via its site during March. Kelkoo.co.uk, which has seen record levels of traffic in early 2009 as consumers look to the Internet to get the best value during the recession, is also witnessing a heightened demand for its cashback, voucher codes and mobile comparison on m.kelkoo.co.uk.

The latest vendors to be listed on Kelkoo.co.uk will give consumers a greater range of services from e-retailers, travel providers and personal finance sites as well as the best offers from mobile broadband providers. They will be able to tap into Kelkoo’s audience of up to 10m online shoppers by showcasing their brand, up to date product ranges, exclusive discounts and special offers on the shopping comparison giant.

With numbers of online travel-based enquiries lower than previous years, initial fears of a slow holiday-booking period have been eased somewhat as traffic has picked up significantly during what is one of the most important months for travel companies. There is a marked change in Brits holiday preferences, with traditionally popular searches such as New York and Skiing falling significantly over the last 12 months, but a 50% increase in searches for last-minute getaways and European car hire compared to December.
